Daily Deviation

Given 2009-09-12

A lovelier depiction of winter could not be asked for, and what grace can be discerned despite the season's harshness. A closer look at winter breath -finish- instantly yields appreciation towards *jurithedreamer's proficiency with watercolour, maintaining an eloquent balance between soft, silken forms and rich textures. Wonderfully captivating! (Suggested by ~EternalFallacy and Featured by ^snowmask)

Excellent work. I love the colors, and the expression on her face.

That said, did you think of using a digital camera to capture the image? Maybe you will be able to get better results with the colors, if they didn't come out right in the scan...

This is lovely, I really like how you've personified winter in a positive way, made her look caring rather than the standard Jack Frost type character. And no, I don't think the texture's too much at all - I love the texture, it was one of the first things I noticed about it. It makes it look really magical without drawing too much attention from the focus of the picture. :)
