I didn't achieve any of my intention or goal on this piece.
it is sad. really sad and pathetic as an artist.

How can you say this is sad and pathetic? It's beautiful! It's so moving and beautifully painted! If I could be a fraction as good as you, I'd be the happiest artist in the world. :)

You're too hard on yourself! I think it's a very nice picture. I especially love how you did her dress and where their arms are intertwined. Very nice. ^^

They are neither man nor woman-
They are neither brute nor human-
They are Ghouls
Their expressions are a lovely match, her sense of yearning and his quiet serenity -- which works well with the juxtaposition of his stony grey and her warm peachiness. There's a rich sense of solidity to their faces and his hand (though perhaps less solid elsewhere). I feel I could know them, and rather wish I did.

the emptier you are, the less you lose.
Awesome pic! I like the way you did the hair and the way you did the dress! :D

Beautiful. I thought of Art Noveau before I read your author's comments, and I think you did a great job with this, you incorporated Klimt's style into your own. You could maybe work on the background a bit, maybe make it more uniform, and if you wanted to make it more Klimt-y you could invest in some goldleaf... But really I think you should be proud of this piece, although it's obviously frustrating when you can't paint what's in your head. I love the concept behind this, and how the little bits of Klimt-style texture are peeling off him as he fades away. The emotions are wonderful, I can feel her sadness and his peace but at the same time their love and happiness at being able to be with each other for his last minutes on earth. Extremely well done.
